Pastor Ronald C Miller Junior

Ronald C. Miller Jr.
Lead Pastor

Rev. Ronald C. Miller, Jr.

The Rev. Ronald C. Miller, Jr., graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Gettysburg, PA, in May 1982. The following month, he was ordained by the Central Pennsylvania Synod of the Lutheran Church in America. His first call was to serve as pastor of St. James Lutheran in Rauchtown, PA, a small village near Jersey Shore, PA. While at St. James Lutheran, he met and married Ann Gohl. Together they have two children, Julianna and Rebekah.

In February 1988, Pastor Miller accepted the call to Trinity Lutheran in State College. It has been a fruitful and challenging ministry in State College. The congregation has seen many changes over the years, as well as some struggles not the least of which was a major building project. Just as the State College area continues to grow, Trinity does as well, seeking to be as effective and faithful as possible. Over the years God has done some amazing things with, for, and through the members of Trinity. Transforming Lives through Christ captures the essence of what God is doing in this congregation and reflects the Pastor’s perspective of what the congregation is to be about in doing its ministry.

Having completed a three-year program through Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, KY, the Beeson Institute for Advanced Church Leadership, Pastor Miller spent 11 months with his family at the Seminary as part of a residency program for the Doctorate of Ministry degree. He and his family were among 21 families, part of the Beeson International Center for Church Leadership and Biblical Preaching. Presently, he continues working on his dissertation even as he has resumed his pastoral duties at Trinity. Pastor Miller has high hopes for the future of Trinity, its congregation and ministry. He hopes to lead the congregation into ways it can be even more effective in making followers for Jesus Christ. It is a great time to be at the church and to be involved in the life and ministry of Trinity. State College offers wonderful opportunities to share with others the good news of hope through Jesus Christ! It is to Him that we at Trinity give our worship and praise!
